THE HEART OF ROME

Today we walked to the Campo de’Fiori markets, The Pantheon, Cafe Sant’Eustachio,The Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps and the Capuchin Crypt finishing with lunch at Cul de Sac and then gelato at Carapina.. Here it is in photos:

The Pantheon – a temple built for “all the gods.” These column were taken from an Egyptian temple.

Built in AD 120, the Dome of the Pantheon  is amazing –  the oculus is the only source of light for the building and you can see the sun on the wall in the photo.
